The Lodge offers 43 beautifully refurbished rooms available for your comfort. There are 35 Standard rooms and 8 Superior rooms. Each room has its very own private balcony, all en-suite & air-conditioned with Wi-Fi, tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer and safe. The Superior rooms offers you more privacy and includes sofas in a very spacious living area and a balcony overlooking the dam.

Restaurant
The Tuskers restaurant at Umbhaba Eco Lodge overlooks the stunning Sabie valley in the distance. It has a relaxed atmosphere where guests can wind down at the end of a day full of activities or discuss the highlights of a great safari. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating options. The restaurant caters for breakfast & dinner, and clients checking in for lunch can request a light menu; our excellent chefs will ensure the best meals. Our menus change regularly and are focused on traditional cuisine.

All group bookings for a 2-3 night stay have the opportunity - weather permitting - to experience a boma dinner, overlooking our beautiful dams with a boma fire Our professional chefs prepare a variety of traditional local recipes served under the African sky, it all makes for a beautiful evening.

Eco Friendly
Umbhaba Eco Lodge has been rebuilt and designed to become more eco friendly;

Grey Water
The water from our showers, basins, kitchen and all ‘grey’ water flows into separate holding tanks on the property where we add water from the irrigation scheme and use it to irrigate our lawns and gardens. When the lodge is in full occupancy we can save as much as 20-30,000 liters a day in a region where water is very precious.

Air Conditioning
We have installed all new Inverter system air conditioners throughout the property which reduces power consumption by as much as 30%.

Geysers
We have installed industrial heat pumps that feed all the rooms this saves as much as 60% on electricity, compared to using 43 separate geysers in all rooms.

Kitchen Scraps
All kitchen scraps and food left discarded by clients is given to a local pig farmer daily.

Recycling
All plastics, glass and metal cans are all recycled to reduce our impact on the environment.
